I can say without doubt I love this time of the month, as the Glossybox is here! This month I’ve decided that I’m going to post as soon as I can. More of a first impressions/quick try on. As I generally leave it till the end of the month but the weather has been so much brighter its been much easier to take pictures! woohoo. So I can say I was super excited as I already knew that the box would contain a new body shop product to try which I’m super excited about. So without Further ado…
Next Make Me Beautiful Eye Blue Quad £7.50
Well thats a bit of a mouthful! I’m starting out with what stood out to me first and it was definitely this. I’m quite in the mood recently where I’m experimenting with different colour eyeshadows. I’ve been obsessed with trying different greens since about Christmas and Nearly on the verge of getting it to perfection.. kind of. So it’s quite a nice surprise to receive such a beautiful quad of shadows. This is a full-size product and I’m quite surprised how Next is now stepping up its beauty game as I’ve never really considered them for beauty products. Until about a couple of weeks ago I actually noticed some of their products in store and went to reach to try one and actually hit my hand on the display case, not realising. Needless to say, I didn’t try any so I was quite intrigued to see how this goes. The lightest shade, has absolutely no payoff, which was annoying but the rest of the shadows have a fair amount and blended nicely. Although I’m not a huge fan of blue eyeshadow, I think its growing on me!
Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner £22
I have never heard of this brand before, I think thats why I reached for it next and I have to say I was expecting something different. What did catch my eye though was the packaging as it stated supporting women with cancer. I thought was lovely idea to put within the glossy box. But as I took it out of the box, I was definitely underwhelmed. As I rarely use a pencil as I find them quite hard, scratchy and light. Then actually giving it a go, I was pleasantly surprised, I mean its soft and gives feathery strokes and the perfect shade for my brows.
STYLondon Temporary ‘Henna’ Tattoos £5.99
Another one I was a initially a little Underwhelmed by, mainly because all I saw was the blue paper and not the actual tattoos. Then I actually looked at them, they’re so pretty! I’m not sure when I’m going to use them, maybe when I go on holiday or festival season. I’m thinking an off the shoulder top and putting the ones with gold flecks underneath my collarbones ? I’m toying with the idea of putting one around my ankle, you know just for fun. I don’t actually have any tattoos so it would be quite cute to have some for a day or so.
Leighton Denny Expert Nails Miracle Mist £12
This was glinting out of the corner of my eye as I was going through the box, I wanted to save it till last as I thought it was a hair product. Then actually looking at it realising the brand and it was for nails! I currently have a Leighton Denny Nail Polish set that I received for Christmas, which I as pretty impressed with and noticed that they are now stocked in M&S so I might pick up a few new shades for spring. I’m super excited to use this as I well and truly suffer with smudged nails and the only thing that seems to work is gel nails but they always take super long when I do them myself. So I really hope this works as this could be actually life changing, well nail changing.
The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil £28
Last but not least, what I was waiting for and couldn’t find in the box. Had a slight panic as I thought they left it out but was actually under the tissue paper. I well and truly love the body shop, I remember when this range first appeared in there and I smelt the massage oil, Oh sweet potato it smelt heavenly. I literally had the urge to buy the whole range, then they realised the facial range. I’ve kind of held off as I’ve been wanting to test them first as hear what others have to say about them. An now I have the chance to try this yay! Basically my concern is because the sent is so strong I’m worried it will make my skin breakout. Fingers crossed its all fine as I generally get along with The Body Shop products. I recently posted on Instagram a few of my favourites if you want to check it out! I’ve only used this a couple of times but I’m loving it already. Well its kind of a given with The Body Shop products.
